It's a sad, sad day...

U of I is officially retiring the chief. After Wednesday, he will no longer perform. :(

Personally, I never got the idea of "students against Chief Illiniwek." If you think it's so racist and you are against it, why are you going to the school? To me, it's like saying "I don't believe in abortions" and going to work for an abortion clinic. Why give your time or money to a school that stands for what you oppose?

I'm hoping that this will spark a bunch of people to show up to games in full Illiniwek gear. Then, instead of just one tasteful symbol, we'll have dozens of crazy drunk ones. That will do them proud! :)
