brookfield

There is something to be said for growing up in a town that doesn't even have a McDonalds. A town that has a roundabout and a zoo and a restaurant that has the word "cock" in the title. There is something to be said about being so close to a city, yet so far away.

This is Brookfield...minus the zoo.

Two stories about this photo shoot.
one) I went skating to take the pics and while I was putting on the skates an old woman walked by in her walker. She looked at me and said "I've never seen anything like that! Are your wheels all in a row?" She had never seen a rollerblade before. She waited until I finished putting them on and took off so she could see them working.

two) At one point I got a rock jammed in the skate and I stopped dead on and tottled around for a long while. I managed to somehow stand up and make it to a place to sit down without falling. All the while I pondered what did I value more: my life or my camera...I probably would have chosen to save the camera.
