So today starts the first day in what hopefully will be one phenomenal summer. It is officially my first of SEVEN three day weekends over the next 14 weeks!!! I can't wait, and I am determined not to waste them! (of course...a good chunk of this weekend has to be spent doing my last homework for the summer...or more likely procrastinating some more!)

Plan for this weekend: Jen's Bachelorette Party (schubas, Barenaked Lads Take off Broadway, Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba...), Printers Row Book Fair (Lonely Planet, Michele Morano, Dan and Steve, Amy Hempel!), and ???

TASTE OF CHICAGO! PLUS 3RD OF JULY FIREWORKS!
Last year was the first year I've ever missed the Taste :( Overpriced food, hot sticky crowds, and a way too short fireworks display! hehe. But really, an awesome awesome time! I look forward to beer battered artichoke hearts, wings with pesto aioli, crab legs, mango cumin-dusted fries with tamarind chutney ...
