She sat there, naked in front of a group of young boys. All watching intently, as I turn my head. Tears fall from my face. How can they do this to her? All the while
they’re chanting “Burn Barbie, Burn.” First her hair was ignited, a flame put to her golden locks. They slowly disintegrate into nothingness. Then the head. The blue eyes close slowly, then the right side. The pink cheeky dimple melting down the side of her face, then the neck, the chest. Then quickly the left cheek melts the same. Then the flame hits the neck. The harder plastic takes longer to melt, but it does, oh it does. After the neck
the breast. Slowly moving down to the painted underwear. Soon the legs are gone as well. All that’s left of my Barbie as my little brother extinguishes the flame is a lump of
melted plastic. My Barbie! My Barbie! How could you do this to her? Oh well, I’ll get back at him. I seem to have found his GI Joe.
